Admin and Graphic Design Intern
Overview:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Admin and Graphic Design Intern to join our church team. This individual will assist with administrative duties related to the overall office, design projects, helping to organize files, coordinate schedules, and support communication within the organization. Additionally, the intern will play a vital role in visually communicating our message and engaging with our community through compelling graphic design. The intern will primarily focus on creating visually appealing flyers and social media graphics, with opportunities to contribute to broader marketing strategies.
Description of Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide a welcoming, positive, and confidential environment for all visitors during office hours, such as receiving guests, scheduling meetings, and responding to voicemails, emails, etc.

Assist in providing communications (written and verbal), collaborations, and logistical support.

Perform office management tasks such as maintaining office supplies, files, etc.

Secretarial and administrative support to church staff for official business.

Design and produce engaging flyers for various church events, services, and initiatives.

Create eye-catching social media graphics for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, ensuring brand consistency and effective message delivery.

Assist in brainstorming and developing innovative marketing strategies to increase church engagement and outreach.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Business, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Good understanding of visual composition, typography, and color theory.

Experience with video editing software is a plus.
Work Experience

Ability to navigate complex situations, handle multiple projects, and effectively manage priorities.

Portfolio showcasing design skills, particularly in flyer and social media graphic creation.
Job Skills

Technically proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc.)

Socially competent; exhibits professionalism, conscientious work ethic, teaching ability, and accountability.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Core skills; organization, communication, time management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Environmental Requirements:

This position requires working in a professional office setting.

Must be able to stand, bend, push, and pull at least up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Part-Time, 20-24 hours/week, Contract, Hybrid (Remote and In-Office)
Pay: $13/hr - $17/hr
